Our child is in Chinese immersion, so we're always looking for ways to incorporate Mandarin at home. I recently discovered that Disney+ offers quite a few movies dubbed in Mandarin Chinese.

Here's how to switch audio and change subtitles on Disney+:

  • Select a movie and start it.
  • Once the movie is started, click on the "Settings" button which can be found in the upper-right corner of the screen, looks like a small rectangular keyboard.
  • If using Roku, hit the * button for the options menu. Click on "Accessibility and Languages" and you can switch the language and subtitles in that menu.
  • Select ‘Mandarin’ or ‘Taiwanese Mandarin’ for audio.
  • If you want captions, turn those on and select language.
